Aarohi Botanicals
Launching a homegrown skincare brand with a story worth sharing

Aarohi Botanicals is an Ayurveda-inspired skincare startup making small-batch face oils, ubtans and cleansers with botanicals sourced from Indian farms. The founders wanted to sell direct to consumers across India rather than depend on marketplaces.
The challenge
The category is crowded with large brands and marketplace sellers. Aarohi needed a recognisable identity, a fast mobile store that converted first-time visitors, and a launch plan that would not burn the seed budget on untested ads.
Our approach
How we solved it.
Every decision tied back to one question: what makes the right customer take the next step?
Identity rooted in ingredients
We built a warm, earthy identity with a saffron and sandalwood palette, botanical illustrations and packaging labels that explain each ingredient in one line.
A store designed for mobile buyers
A Shopify store with ingredient-first product pages, routine bundles, COD and UPI at checkout and reviews near the add-to-cart button.
Creator-led launch content
Short videos of routines and ingredient stories, made with skincare creators, became the raw material for organic posts and ads.
Disciplined Meta testing
Small budgets tested hooks, offers and audiences in structured rounds, and only winning creatives were scaled, with retargeting for cart abandoners.
Search for the long run
Ingredient and concern-led content such as kumkumadi oil benefits and ubtan for tan removal started building organic traffic from launch month.

01How do you launch a D2C skincare brand in India?
Start with a clear positioning and identity, build a fast mobile store with UPI and COD, create trust through reviews and creator content, test Meta ads with small budgets, then scale the winners and add email and WhatsApp retention.
02Should a new D2C brand sell on its own website or on marketplaces?
Most brands benefit from both. Your own website builds margin, data and brand loyalty, while marketplaces add reach. Many founders launch D2C first to control the story, then expand to marketplaces.
03What does Go Beyond Driven do for D2C brands?
We handle brand identity, Shopify or custom stores, performance marketing on Meta and Google, social media content, influencer collaborations, SEO and retention through email and WhatsApp.
04How much budget does a D2C brand need for Meta ads at launch?
Budgets vary by price point and category. Many brands start with a modest daily test budget across a few creatives and audiences, then increase spend only behind ads that show a healthy cost per purchase.
